Tile and grout cleaning

Steam, pressure and high-suction extraction get the grout lines back — then a sealer keeps them that way.

What you get

  • High-pressure steam cleaning with high-suction extraction
  • Cleaning agents matched to the surface and finish
  • Sealer applied to restore the finish
  • Kitchens, bathrooms, entries and commercial hard floors

Grout is porous, which is the whole problem

Grout absorbs. Every mop bucket pushes dirty water into the lines, and it stays there. That is why a floor can be mopped weekly and still have grout two shades darker than the day it was installed, and why hand scrubbing produces a clean patch and a sore back rather than a clean floor.

Everclean uses state-of-the-art steam cleaners that combine high-pressure water and cleaning agents to loosen embedded debris, then a high-suction vacuum to pull the contaminants and the dirty water off the floor instead of spreading them around.

Matching the process to the material

Hard surfaces are not interchangeable. Porcelain, ceramic, natural stone and sealed versus unsealed finishes all react differently, and the wrong cleaning agent can etch or dull a surface permanently. Identifying the material and the finish comes first, then the process is selected to suit it.

Attempting an aggressive hand clean on the wrong surface can do permanent damage to what is a substantial investment in your home.

Sealing at the end

Once the floor is clean and dry, a sealer restores the finish and gives the grout a barrier against the next round of mop water and spills. It is the step that determines how long the result lasts.

FAQ

Tile & Grout Cleaning — common questions

Can you clean natural stone?

The surface material and finish are identified first so the right cleaning agents are selected. Mention what you have when you call so it can be assessed correctly.

Will the grout go back to its original color?

A professional clean removes the embedded soil, which usually accounts for most of the discoloration. Grout that has been permanently stained or has failed can need color sealing or repair — Darrin will tell you which you are looking at.

Do you clean commercial tile floors?

Yes. Entries, restrooms and kitchens in commercial spaces are cleaned with the same process.
